February Math & ELA Printables

Having these February printables for Math and ELA at the ready is so fantastic! Recently we changed our get-back-from-lunch-just-before-math-starts routine...and my class is LOVING the Math Crunch!

Our routine used to be "Ways To Make" the number of the day using addition, subtraction, tallies, coins, etc...Now it's one of the Math Crunch Pages that a student distributes to table spots as we are lining up for lunch.

If they finish it and math hasn't begun quite yet, then they flip to the back side and work on Ways to Make until we begin.

Love this new routine!

If you're interested in buying them together, they are bundled at a discount...

FREEBIE Mania - Five for Friday!

We made it, we made it!!

Of a Full Moon Week!!

Almost all freebies to share this week... :)

1) Y'all supported me into the Top 100 on TpT two weeks in a row a few weeks ago...

I promised a freebie as a way to say thank you!

Wa - La!

It's finally done!!!

2. My nine year old son is too stinkin' cute lately...the boy is OBSESSED with Harry Potter. For a recent 3 hour round trip drive to go skiing for the day, this is what he brought...
At the time, he was about 100 pages into the top book...but wanted to make sure he had enough just in case. Adorable.

3. With the Superbowl coming up (boo...the Packers are not in it)...thought you might want to download this FREEBIE if you haven't already...

4. My friend Emily over at Curious Firsties wrote this AWESOME SAUCE blog post this week about how she teaches her students about fluency...I love the simple genius of it!

And...check out her blog design...she DID IT HERSELF!!!

While you're there, you may want to link up with her linky, too!

5. Valentines Day will be here sooner rather than later and last year I had my students make one of these as their Valentine note to their family...it was a big hit!

Now it's your turn to go link up with Doodlebugs! Wish her a Happy Birthday while you're there! :)

January MATH No-Prep Printables

Since we adore the ELA Crunch collection so much, I decided to create Math packs, too! These January No-Prep Printables are themed with New Years, Martin Luther King, Jr & Winter. They are so versatile and my students love them!

Students are quickly able to become independent with these, which frees me up to:
wrap up loose ends with students who have been absent

If you'd like to peek at the contents of the ELA pack, head over to this blog post {HERE}.

Discounted January bundle {HERE}

Biggest Discounts found in these semester or yearlong bundles...

You'll notice that I included coin identification and counting...despite money not being a specific CCSS...it is a very important skill to teach first graders to prepare them for second grade standards on money.
They are seriously SOOOOO helpful!!! I have used them for....

independent practice

skill-based centers

sub tub

morning work

There are 26 pages in all...here are pics of some of what's included!

Don't forget to download the Preview over on TpT for your 3 try-before-you-buy-freebie pages!!
